Early August 2007 picture of the M/V DIAMOND JACK, formerly the EMERALD ISLE. The first ferry built especially for the Beaver Island run. Served from April 1955 to August 5, 1962. Sold to Arnold Transit and operated as a passenger/freight boat until 1982. Taken to Milwaukee as a river/harbor excursion vessel. Sold in 1991 and renamed Diamond Jack and now runs river tours out of Hart Plaza and Wyandotte, MI.
