The Power's Hardware webcam is not working at the moment. Or at least I can't seem to pull it up.

Wonder if it was bumped offline by the power outage? (the gtlakes dialup lines seem to be busy right now too with an "all circuits are busy" voice message)

On one positive note, the rain right now and front coming through cooled things down a little from the 80's today.

The webcam should be up and running now. Thanks for all of your interest in the webcam. Our store will be featured in next months Do It Best Monthly publication to its 4300 members, which will discuss the uniqueness of conducting a hardware business on an island and the use of the webcam to provide live views of the harbor area. Thanks for all of your support over all of the years.

The Chamber of Commerce is pleased to feature the Powers web cam on our home page www.beaverisland.org . The site gets 65,000 visits a year. We hope to add other member business live cams in the future so that the harbor will be covered. :D

Just a note of appreciation to the Powers family for the webcam. I can't express how much the webcam at the hardware store means to us. We look at it all the time and even sit around the screen to see the ferry's come in and leave again. We look forward to other businesses joining in with webcams to help us stay in touch with the island. We would love a cam at the airports..hint, hint.
