TB test

Post by Beth Croswhite »

There is an Island individual that needs a routine TB test. The Medical Center can only order TB tests in quantities of 10. Does anyone else need the test? Maybe for a job, volunteer work or other medical reasons? Please notify the Medical Center and they can keep a running tally. Hopefully, there might be enough to order 10 tests. Medical Center phone # 231-448-2275.

The NW Health Department does immunizations and TB testing for $15.00. Unfortunately, they have a policy that they must read their own tests, so this would be very costly going back and forth to have the TB site read by their department. A vial for up to 10 TB tests costs around $35.00. The vial lasts 30 days. Perhaps the interested individual would consider purchasing the vial and having the TB test done at the Health Center to save the transportation costs?
