Poppycock. It had nothing to do with my age. I mailed gold for a ticket and they told me they did not know the exchange rate so could not sell me a ticket.
It's OK, I have enough Sailor Jerry to get me through for awhile.

I got hoodwinked on not being allowed to buy a ticket for the basket of joy. By the time I came ashore it was standing room only outside the Shamrock. I know Beans would have picked a fellow pirate's ticket to win. Maybe next year.
