Municipal Dock Seasonal Employment Posting

St James Township is seeking seasonal employees to operate the Municipal Dock to meet the standards and rules set by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and the St James Township Board. The selected employees will be expected to provide continuous effort to maintain a user-friendly Municipal Dock. The Municipal Dock is open from May 1 â?? October 1.
In an effort to manage the Municipal Dock in a fiscally responsible manner, the staffing hours and rates of pay were researched, resulting in a new staffing structure. The board expects the new structure will allow the dock fund to operate with a balanced budget, meet the needs of its employees, and provide quality service to the many boaters who visit the Municipal Dock.
Three distinct positions are available: Harbormaster, Dock Assistant and Dock Host(s). Application deadline is April 10, 2017. A full posting and job descriptions are available on the townshipâ??s website:
