The death has occurred of Nora (Hannah) DUFFY (née Collins)
Highfield Park, Galway City, Galway / Rathkeale, Limerick


(Formerly Rathkeale, Co. Limerick), ( peacefully) at the Bon Secours Hospital, Galway, beloved wife of John and much loved mother of Brendan, Noreen, John, Kevin, Mary and the late Pat. Sadly missed by her husband, sons and daughters, brothers, sisters, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, extended family and many friends. Reposing at the O'Flaherty Funeral parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway on Friday 2nd December from 4.30 p.m. with Removal at 6.30 p.m. to St. Joseph's Church, Presentation Road. Funeral after 11.00 a.m. Requiem Mass on Saturday 3rd December to Rahoon Cemetery.

John, Nora and children came to the Island several times when John was practicing medicine in Chicago in the 70's. Many of us have fond memories of them on Jewell and Rita's porch or in Mary Bert's front yard and Bing getting a piece of plywood to lay in the yard for dancing. Some of us who have been to Ireland would see John, Nora or some of the children. She has left a hole in many hearts...Marie
