The first annual spring Fishing tournament will be held June 11-12th. the weekend will be a free fishing weekend, meaning no license is required. fun for the whole family. there will be two categories, one kids 14 and under, 15 and up adults. kids entry will be free, kids sign up will be located at Powers Hardware and The Beaver Island Community Center. Adults will be a 5 dollar buy in. Adults sign up at Powers Hardware. Kids Fish saturday weather permitting. pontoon boat transportation provided by the generous people on lake Geneserath. kids fish all open season species for longest fish and most fish caught. Adults category will be Bass only. Large mouth and small mouth. (more details to come based on sign up)

as of now this is all in the making. there may be a few slight changes as the month of may goes on and we organize this event. we are looking for willing parents to volunteer to ride pontoons with kids and bait hooks and keep kids safe and organized. Also looking for donations for bait, snacks and drinks (hotdogs, chips, water and lots of worms to drown :P ) for more information or if you would like to donate call Levi Connor at 231-459-6697 or stop in the hardware store, i am generally there most days.

Lots of schools are still in session or just getting out that Friday, could effect the amount of children participating.
