Free Trees on Friday

Post by jacquel »

Friday, 250 seedling trees will arrive to be distributed to folks on the island to plant.

Distribution will take place at the hardware (on the side of the building) between 2 p.m. (or whenever they get off the boat and transferred there) and 5 p.m.

We will not be able to "save" trees, so please make arrangements with someone to pick up any you might want to plant.

They are bare root stock.

We will have:
50 American Hazelnut 18"-24"
25 Black Cherry 18"-24"
Black Walnut 18"-24"
25 Sand Cherry 18"-24"
75 Red Oak 18"-24"
and 25 Dogwood 18"-24"

These trees are coming from the Conservation Resource Alliance. Brochures will be available about this organization and how to become members.
We (BIWC) encourage all who receive these trees to become members in the CRA. It's a great group who do a lot for Beaver Island.

Thank you,
Jacque
