US-131 resurfacing south of Petoskey starts Sept. 5

PROJECT:
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will invest $970,500 to repair joints and resurface 4.2 miles of US-31 from Bear River Road to Lears Road in Emmet County.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS:
This work will require single-lane closures under flag control.

SAFETY FEATURES:
The project includes installation of new rumblestrips and pavement markings.
