POSITION:HEAD COOK/ FOOD SERVICE COORDINATOR
CERTIFICATION: High School Diploma
QUALIFICATIONS:
â?¢ Experience with menu planning and ordering
â?¢ Experience in a commercial kitchen preparing and ordering meals for 20 or more people
â?¢ Knowledgeable in nutrition standards required by the State and USDA
â?¢ Demonstrate an interest in working with children ages 5-18 years.
â?¢ Demonstrate a pleasant, positive attitude and ability to work cooperatively with others.
DESCRIPTION OF JOB
â?¢ Prepare breakfast and lunch for students and staff 5 days per/week
â?¢ Manage nutrition paperwork required by Michigan Department of Education (daily food and temperature logs, collection of child nutrition labels etc.)
â?¢ Set up lunchroom and ensure overall operation of school lunch program
â?¢ Serve students for breakfast and lunch
â?¢ Oversee and monitor equipment, supplies and lunchroom area
â?¢ Maintain food handling, nutrition and safety standards
â?¢ Order all food, milk and supplies
â?¢ Cleanup
SALARY $15-20/HOUR FOR 25 HOURS PER WEEK

Curious about school renovations and job opportunity.
Wow, exciting new job opportunity. When did the school upgrade the existing kitchen? Will there be an opportunity to look at frozen and fresh storage space for foods. Can applicants look at all the tools and cookware exsisting, or will there be new utensils? Thanks.

I am happy to say that I will be applying for this position. I am currently the Head Cook at Rozet Elementary in the State of Wyoming, however my family and I are moving to Beaver Island on Aug. 10-11 2017. I also have three children (14, 9, and 8 ) that will be attending the school.
