While being stranded in Michigan this week I found a gov. document that I thought was very interesting. It is titled PREPARING FOR THE FUTURE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE. Artificial intelligence is now being billed as the new god that is going to save us from everything we detest and offer the world the "best" possible solution to every aspect of our life whether we want it or not! https://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/default/files/whitehouse_files/microsites/ostp/NSTC/preparing_for_the_future_of_ai.pdf
Makes me wonder what the outcome will be for those who chose not to participate. Think

The next article is called Congress Hands Government Authority To Microchip People With "Mental Disabilities". This little article has a congressman describing how this bill H.R. 4919 was passed and what it has opened the door for in the days ahead. The video clip that accompanies the story explains what this means for Christians, Veterans and people who have been classified or deemed less than acceptable. http://www.naturalblaze.com/2016/12/congress-hands-government-authority-microchip-people-mental-disabilities.html

Here is my question. Who is in charge or at the top of this "Artificial Intelligence" implementation and why should we trust it? In any event it appears that this A.I. movement is here to stay whether we like it or not..... At least for a few more years.

I would not be surprised if most of the Teachers, township Reps and professional workers are already aware of the current information regarding the marriage of Artificial Intelligence with the everyday products that are being shoved down our throats. However, if there is anyone who is not up to date on the current attempt to glamorize malevolent technology then these articles are for you.

I remember when a new public school superintendent came to town. I watched as starry eyed residents applauded his "sure thing" sales pitch on how the kids in our area would be greatly enriched by his decision to give every school aged child a spying device, I mean an "EYE?" pad. Eventually the group voted the school sup. off of the island. But not before the eye pads were joined by a pricey but useless robot that was driven around the hallways allowing privileged adults to peer into classrooms without getting out of their chairs. (If someone can tell me about how that idea benefited any child I would like you to call me ASAP and fill me in on the details.)

I know what some of you are thinking, I am bashing public education. Not true! I am simply looking for anyone that can see down the road to tell me that this technology can replace the centuries old idea of self sufficiency. My fear is that children are not learning as much about self preservation and community affiliation as they would if their devices ceased to exist. Since there doesn't seem to be an end to the growth of the surveillance state anytime soon I submit the following articles so that we will better understand sometime in the future why it is that we feel a tremendous void has been created in our world, that void I will call AI.

Good news! Robots are gaining their independance! Android liberation!! http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/3002559/robot-rights-eu-votes-to-grant-electronic-personhood-to-cyberdyne-t-800s

Hey it gets better! Now humans can have sex with robots! I have decided not to post the latest articles defending sex with robots because it makes me want to puke! You can search that stuff on your own. Instead I will talk about how we will be conditioned to accept the idea that no harm could ever come from our silicone friends. https://singularityhub.com/2011/05/10/the-myth-of-the-three-laws-of-robotics-why-we-cant-control-intelligence/ unless their is some kind of back door into that technology that allows others to hack whatever device you are currently engaged with. https://www.wired.com/2016/06/demonically-clever-backdoor-hides-inside-computer-chip/ That could be really bad in a military defense type of way and as of now not many are even giving it a second thought.

I am guilty of attempting to convey too many ideas at once so I will really try hard to stay focused. I will leave you with a article about how a school in Philadelphia was sued by 2 students and paid a large sum of money for not having their technology under control. They gave their students Macbooks infected with spy software. Also, this article goes into detail on how it is nearly impossible for the average person to know they are being spied on until the damage has been done. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/rebecca-abrahams/your-computer--phone-came_b_5398896.html Peace E. Elon Musk is against any generation of A.I.

I do not think it is merely to feather his own egg nest, so I'm with him. He is smart.
What does that mean?
Nothing.
The future is already mapped out for all of us.
Enjoy the ride, or run off to a remote island somewhere.....

The true future of A.I.?
Bumper sticker the other day: "We need a plague"

"I'll be back!" in 1984, Terminator was science fiction...

like going to the moon in 1895

Here is a rather lengthy article written for Wired Magazine that is a must read for anyone who thinks they understand where technology is heading. If you are not interested in reading a long article it can be summed up with the following quote. "The truth that science seeks can certainly be considered a dangerous substitute for God if it is likely to lead to our extinction." - Bill Joy, co-founder and chief scientist of Sun Microsystems. The article is called "Why the future doesn't need us." https://www.wired.com/2000/04/joy-2/ We now will return you to your regularly scheduled program! E Cool

Cheer up Eric. Most of humanity will probably be killed off by microbes, massive natural disasters, or nuclear war long before AI is a real threat.

I agree with Rob, microbes will be around long after humans have disappeared from this world but then again some believe that is God's plan for He knows all. Therefore I agree with Duff: light one up, throw some back and dance on our future graves for we're here while we're here. What will be - will be, so let's have fun until then.
