Too Fast to Live, Too young to die

Post by John Bolton »

The passing of Glen Frey this week, a Detroit area native son, is truly a momentous occasion.
The following article pretty much says it all.
If you are not old enough to remember the Eagles coming on the scene in the nineteen seventies, you will never know that rich, good feeling that encompassed you when their harmonies came over your car radio...
Were they the World's Greatest Band?
Perhaps, though personally, I still think the Beatles were the most influential....

But the Eagles were America's Band, that is for sure...

we will all hang separately,

I was working on pressing in some bearings at the sled garage when Serius radio began playing Eagles songs as done by Glen and the boys and also by other artists.

Finally, the DJ broke in (as he would continue to do throughout his broadcast) and announced Glen's passing. It felt like the day John Lennon died to me. There will never be another of either.

I'd be most pleased if you would give a listen to this Glenn Frey tribute on Wednesday night at 7 pm on your computer dial:
