Pilot Visitors 20 Sep, Sunday

Not asking for anything. We have a small handful that may finally make it out this Sunday, flying into the main airport. Hopefully we will be up to 6 planes or so, from MI and WI.

The plan is gather just before noon and make our way towards town for an extended lunch. The weather should be clearing up by then, looking forward to it.

Most of us have never visited Beaver Island before.

Try getting hold of the Beaver Island Chamber of Commerce at 231 448-2505. They might arrange for a quick tour of Beaver Island. The airport is quite a walk to town.

Thanks for the tip. One of the guys has been there a time or three. He has some plan worked out, no intention to walk to town.

I don't mind 'winging it' a bit. The main goal is to get there, the rest can be worked out.

Just to update we flew in and had a great time. We ended up at the 'Shamrock'. There were a few from MI and WI., 6 planes total.
