Beaver Island Wildlife Club Raffle and Dinner +++

Post by jacquel »

The Beaver Island Wildlife Club will host its annual dinner on Nov. 16th at the Shamrock. Times for eating will be 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. and will be a wildlife themed buffet! Come join us in a good feast, and raffle! The Shamrock donates to the Harold Lounsberry Memorial Scholarship Fund and is match by the Wildlife Club.

The Annual Rifle Raffle will be held at the Shamrock that night beginning at 7 p.m. Included will be a 30.06 scoped rifle, Nikon Binoculars, a Garmin GPS and many more including engraved knives, and other prizes. Tickets are $10 each, 11/$100 and available at the hardware and from the board members (Mark and Jacque LaFreniere, Gary and Tina Morgan, Jeff Powers, Phil Wyckoff, Don Tritsch, Bill Detwiler, Bob Tidmore, Bruce Beaudoin).

The Big Buck Contest board will be at Power's Do it Best Hardware. $10 buys you an entry. All must be entered prior to Nov.15 (midnight on the 14th!) and deer must be scored on island. Deny Keehn is our go to scorer on the island. The Big Buck contest is for Firearm season only. Winner of the 50/50 will be announced on Dec. 1.

So come out and get involved in the Deer season happenings

So is there a fee to attend the buffet? Is it for members only?

The dinner is for everyone the only cost is the meal itself, which as Jacque noted the profits are donated to the Harold Lounsberry Memorial Scholarship Fund

That is unless you want to purchase ticket for the rifle raffle or the numerous 50/50 draws that occur during the night. Our funds are used to improve habitat and help manage the wildlife in the Beaver Islands

Thanks for your interest
