We invite you to participate in the initial creative process of
envisioning new museum exhibits and expanded space.

from the Beaumier Heritage Center and Northern Michigan University in Marquette
Dan will provide a short introduction and then facilitate small group breakout discussions where you can have a voice in creating new museum exhibits.
The Beaver Island Historical Society has created two fine museums as well as overseeing the Protar Home and Heritage Park. The Society has engaged in many other projects including signage of historical locations around the Island, publications of books, and the assembling of a library of recorded oral histories which will form a great foundation for future projects. We have space limitations and a desire to improve some exhibits and create other new ones. Please bring your ideas as we take the first step of the planning of an exciting expansion of our present museum.
