The school board will host a meeting on Monday, August 13, 2012 @ 5:30 pm in room 115 at the school. The board is inviting parents and community members to provide their input concerning a profile of competencies and requirements for the new administrator. The meeting will be hosted by former Char-Em ISD superintendent Mark Eckhardt whom the board has retained to help in the search. Kathleen McNamara will be retiring in June of 2013 and the Beaver Island Community School Board of Education is on target with its succession plan to find the right candidate to serve as the Principal/Superintendent.
