I wanted to thank the organizers of this 50's/60's event. I had a wonderful time dancing and watching the "older" adults dress up. I really liked seeing the costumes, but more than anything, I loved the smiles on everyone's faces. It was a pure joy to behold!
Let's keep this event going. I wonder how it might work if there was a weekend left in the summer to try to put on another one.

Sock Hop
Well I'm one of those "older" adults who also really enjoyed the sock hop both this year and last.
After last year being a success I thought more would have come out this year to join in the fun. I think holding the event during the summer would really benefit the Amvets.
There is also talk of doing different decades in the future, which I think would also be a lot of fun.
